Atlanta, GA Asbestos Project Monitor Refresher Training

1 Day Class - The abatement project monitor is an individual that is responsible for the on-site observation of asbestos abatement activities. The abatement project monitor is often also responsible for the collection of air samples before, during and after (final clearance) asbestos abatement. This refresher program is a one day review of the project monitor training requirements outlined in the Model Accreditation Plan of EPA’s regulation referred to as AHERA (40 CFR Part 763).

The program will cover the following topics: 

• Asbestos basics; ACM, heath effects and asbestos-related regulations
• Safety and respiratory protection issues
• Asbestos control option review
• Air sampling and project monitoring issues
• Recordkeeping and Project Reporting

There will be a comprehensive review before the final exam

This program has been approved by the state of Tennessee for re-certification as a Project Monitor.
