Regular price $125.00 Sale

1/2 Day Class - Are you or your firm certified to provide renovation, repair or painting (RRP) work that could disturb lead-based paint (LBP)? If so, EPA and State RRP regulations require Certified Renovators to take a refresher class.

This half-day course was developed by the U.S. EPA, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to train renovation, repair and painting contractors on how to work safely in housing with lead-based paint and comply with EPAs Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule, and also HUDs Lead Safe Housing Rule.

For those working in states regulated by the EPA, refresher classes must be within 5 years of your initial course date. In the southeast, EPA states include Tennessee, South Carolina and Florida.

For those working as RRP Renovators in Georgia, the following applies: complete a half-day RRP Refresher course by a Georgia accredited training provider within 3 years of completion of the Initial RRP course.

Note: Georgia Renovators that do not complete the Refresher course within 3 years after the last day of prior RRP training will need to call the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) to see if there are options available or just simply retake the initial course again.

As a reminder, all firms performing or offering RRP services must become a certified (licensed) RRP Firm. Firms can obtain certification (license) by applying to EPA or to your State if it has an EPA-authorized RRP program (Georgia and Alabama). In Georgia, Renovators must also be certified (licensed) to manage on-site RRP work. If providing services in Georgia, this is through the Georgia-EPD.

For questions regarding Georgia-EPD RRP requirements you can reach them at 404-363-7026 if you would like to speak with one of their representatives.

Scheduled classes are listed below. Select the date you wish to attend to begin the registration process.

Includes exam and detailed course notebook with much information to explain RRP requirements including EPA, HUD and GA-EPD issues.
