1 Day Class - This is our 2nd offering of a seminar to review the regulatory framework and programs involved with the management of lead and lead-based paint (LBP). In this session we will have featured speakers from industry and federal and state program agencies address issues regarding regulatory compliance and federal and state program involvement. We will have members of regulatory agencies (EPA and GA & AL) that have been invited to present information and answer questions.
- Detailed treatment of the OSHA construction standard (29 CFR 1926.62); worker protection, training, medical monitoring etc.
- RRP certification, enforcement and recordkeeping; EPA and states
- LBP training and certification requirements; lead-based paint activities (abatement & interim controls); EPA and states
- Work practices and waste management issues
- Managing childhood lead poisoning, from the Georgia Department of Health
- EPA Real estate disclosure requirements & enforcement activities
- HUD requirements; 24 CFR Part 35 & the "HUD Guidelines" for LBP
This program is designed for regulatory compliance knowledge. It would be especially handy for those that have limited knowledge of the LBP regulatory framework, especially those that have only had RRP training or those that have to manage these issues. The program will include a notebook with reference materials.
